Wellington’s landscape is never short of challenges. How we deal with them defines our built environment. The cascading Hill House directly addresses the surrounding context, maximising on views, sunlight, air-flow and terrain resulting in what will be a stand-out home within Island Bay’s latest housing development.

The close working relationship between client and architect has been incredibly rewarding. The result is a design that is developing into an environmentally conscious home all will cherish for years to come. With significant engineering challenges the design looks to celebrate the structural and architectural solutions equally receding and projecting from the steep site.
